Snow was falling but I never felt it,
The cold is a bitter curse
To the young men who never stop shivering;
Sister, when our conversation had ended
And I went back to my room,
I felt nothing,
No sorrow, no joy,
Nothing to celebrate,
For the brutal noise of this evening will wake again the sun
But for now, I adore the snow,
It is beautiful,
When everything elsewhere is ugly
:) this poem reminds me of the Maine. I miss it so much. I lived there for 10 years and oh boy was there a lot of snow! Im in the south now and snow is a rare sight. You never really appreciate things till there gone.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more. If you don't mind me asking, how did you find out about my blog?
