This would be the day that mothers weep.
Over their dead sons, that cold winters keep
I remember the sound of the wind at the glass
Where I sit in chair and lament my past
The snowfall covers the naked oak tree;
Like the blanket in bed covers my beliefs and me
Lie down in shadows, and at the side of the road
Trust is my worth though my will is bowed.
